I dont think yours have 3.42 ratio. That only
available in 2WD I believe. The ratio are stamped in
code on the firewall tags. There should be a decode
table in ORC toyota pages.
Have you install mechanical boost gauge yet? The OEM
boost gauge are not that accurate. Autometer have a
pretty good one. I use the cheap one from JC whitney
and they works great for me.
Old 22RET are pretty notorious for having premature
boost leak. I guess the spring from the wastegate got
weak over time. I solve this problem by installing
manual boost regulator.
When I got my truck its pretty slow or really slow I
might say. After I play with TPS setting and the AFM
the driveability are a lot better and the power sounds
like what a lot of people comment.
Is yours manual or auto? The manual lower 1st gear are
really a dog for street driving.
