TOY: Allpro's former 4runner
A member of our club purchased the 91 4runner built by All Pro. I go to
copilot with him on the first run on Sat. So I thought I would pass on some
of my observations.
I would prefer wider wheels, with more offset. It felt a little top heavy
on off camber situations. I would also prefer the frount winchmount bumper
to be bolted to the side of the body mount on the frame. Instead of with the
bodymount bolt. This lets the bumper flex some with rubber body bushings. I
realize this is done to make more of a universal fit since the frame doesn't
alow for this on earlyer trucks. But I have the bumper on my truck mounted
the same way, and its held up for 3 years of bashing.
I did like the rear bumper side bars, and the nerf bars. These worked well
when the truck was balanced on its side on them. I didn't know the driver
wanted me to tell him stop. Where I come from we let everyone try to go on
there own first, unless they ask for help. I thought it was going to come
down any minute, but it kept climbing.
Luckily there was no damage. If you want to see pictures I posted some from
the trip at.

Sorry no video, I was in the truck when it happened, and we were first in
line.
