TOY: RE: TOY: Proven Naiveté
OK... on a whim I did a search for AISIN and came up with two rebuild
instructions... one from 4x4wire and the other from Outdoor-world. They
make a little more sense of the situation, but they also say to pay close
attention to the disassembly which I was trying to do... but since I took
the Hub Ends off first I kind of screwed the whole process up. So hopefully
I will be able to disassemble the whole kabob and then put it back together
again the way it is supposed to go.
I am still weary about the splines though... It was hard to see through all
the grease but I could swear the right side (passenger side) was sheared on
half the spline. This may have been the result of a part blocking my view
in a way to create an optical illusion, or it may be just lack of
experience, but they looked sheared to me.

Mike,
If it helps any at least you're not posting the question of how to get
Duraback off your Hootus. I still chuckle thinking about that one.
For clarefication to the list; Who's hubs are (were) on your truck (stock
Aisin's, Warn's, Milemarker's, Superwinch's, etc.) and which manual(s) do
you have ?
BTW, doing is the *BEST* teacher and you do have supervision, it's just long
distance and a little blind so you'll have to be an extra sharp set of eyes.
:)
