Re: TOY: Re: 22RE EFI Harness ?

Yes, there is THAT harness which goes to the engine, but also to the
computer are (at least on the MKII) the wires from the relay box (driver's
side) which are tied in to the rest of the harness - especially the ground
wires, and the instrumentation stuff from the computer (probably just the
check engine light??).

Any other parts of the EFI system (O2 sensor for instance) that are on the
driver's side of the vehicle also run in the harness from the one side of
the vehicle to the other.

Gets to be a little confusing! I would seriously recommend that you label
everything "Remove" or "Keep" as you unplug it. Keep everything pugged in
that you will need to have connected at the end, and start it after you
disconnect something that you are unsure of to confirm that the plug you
just disconnected was necessary or not.

For the most part you will know if something is needed or not, but I must
admit that there were about 5 "unknowns" that I did this with. Usually they
ended up being relays of some sort - and unmarked.

Unless you are much better than I am at wiring diagrams, I would not
recommend trying to go off of that to sort out the harness. You will get
yourself lost in a bundle of wires in no-time! This is what I did When
trying to convert my 22R to a 22RE with Celica parts. I got "VERY"
frustrated and gave up.
