TOY: Splicing a/c hoses
Ok everyone... I've been thinking about this one for a while - anyone know
of a good way to splice an a/c hose - I know what you're thinking but it's
not for a repair - it's for an engine swap - using the ford a/c compressor
and the rest of the toytoa system.
I was wondering if anyone thought something like what is used for splicing
EFI high pressure lines would work.... Otherwise anyone know who makes a
good set of metric adapters (I'm assuming that the ford hoses are
metric???) that might work? How about a double barbed setup with
doubled up EFI style hose clamps?
I've gotten a quote of ~150-200 for a custom hose set but that would take
about 2 weeks and I thought there's got to be a way to hack together what
I've got I guess I could have someone alumimum weld on the ford fittings
to my toyota evaporator box??
ALL ideas are welcome!
