TOY: brake pads

I seem to be going through front brake pads 2 to 3 times a year. I don't
think I use my brakes that hard! But the truck will stop very quickly
and I am pleased with the pads stopping performance but not with their
life or the amount of brake dust they generate. I use the best I can buy
at Advance Auto (something silver?). What do other people use?
