TOY: Cleaning up corroded aluminum??

I am in the process of cleaning up and going over the '94 engine that I am
sticking into my 4Runner. The aluminum timing cover, water pump, ect... on
the front of the engine are pretty corroded. I am not sure if this is from
the salt on the roads or what, but I would like to get it cleaned up.

Does anyone know of a product that will clean the corrosion off of aluminum
without having to take this stuff off of the block and getting it blasted?

I must say that with the powder coated intake manifold, valve cover,
pulleys, brackets, and the new LC Engineering header, the rest of the engine
looks better than it ever did new!
