I've got a friend who runs them on his '88 with no lift and almost no
rubbing ( no grinding or cutting either)

Well, after almost getting stuck in fairly shallow mud last night, I
talked to the tire store across the street from my apartment this morning.
They quoted me $149.95 each, installed, for 34 x 9.5 Super Swampers. On my
lunch break I stopped by and gave them the go ahead. They'll be here
Thursday afternoon! I can't wait! Just in time for the UnGathering. This
time, I WILL make it to the top of the powerline!
Friday afternoon I'll get out of work, pick up the mounted tires, and then
get out the angle-grinder and make them fit on my unlifted '88. Should be
fun! Then I have to drive to the UnGathering as soon as I get them on.
Talk about trial by fire!
Just had to share. I feel like I'm about to enter a whole to realm of
wheelin'!
