I suppose the line lock could be put in the system btwn the
LSPV and the rubber hose to the rear axle. Only issue there
is that it is now exposed back under the bed instead of up
under the hood.
I would look into the Mico Lock since they do not require
12V to maintain brake pressure, only to activate them. Once
activated, line pressure holds the valve closed. Tapping the
pedal releases the hold. True, they are more expensive.
Perhaps a mixture of one each would be the ideal since each
has some pluses and minuses.
It's funny, the drag race part is generically called a 'line
lock' implying that they are used at the starting line, yet
I know of no one who uses theirs at the starting line. They
all use a trans brake or a clutch drop for the launch. The
line lock is just used to lock the fronts up during the burn
out.
