What is so bad about the prices? A set of Champion beadlocks are about $225
each, or $900. The cheapest March racing beadlocks are $150 each plus
shipping, so about $650. And all of these only lock the OUTSIDE of the
wheel, where the tireloc system locks the inner & outer beads.
If you want to compare apples to apples - get a quote from anyone else about
beadlocking both sides of a wheel and you will see how much cheaper the
tireloc system is...
You also can move them to whatever wheel you want, by just drilling an extra
hole for a second valve stem. If you get tired of the Champion of Marsh
wheels - tough luck, you are stuck with them ;)
Also, no bolts to loosen. And they do work as sort of a "run flat" system
for the trail.
Do you still think they are such a bad deal?
A friend has had them on his Suburban with 44" boggers for over 4 years, and
LOVES them. I wil say that if I had not lucked into a deal for some Marsh
beadlocks for under $450 I would be doing the tireloc system myself...
