TOY: 4.3 ltr update.

OK, have the exhaust manifolds modified enough to run the engine. Still
have to install a fitting for the EGR valve and once
installed I will check to see if I can put the front O2 sensors on the
manifolds also.

It looks like I finally found fittings for the fuel rails. They are 14
and 16 mm, with #6 JIC threads on the other end.
The 14mm fitting on the fuel rail had to be modified, drilled out the
hole about .015 so the o-ring portion of the fitting would fit. The
16mm fitting already had the bigger o-ring.
So, tomorrow I will hopefully bend some fuel line to route down the
right side of the bellhousing and the right side of the transmission.
Then it will have hose from there over to the frame to the fuel filter
down the frame to the gas tank.

After the fuel lines are bent up, I will hopefully be installing the
engine for the last time. I will then work on wiring, installing the
radiator. Will work on the a/c and cruise control over time. Also have
a plan for the speed sensor (40 tooth reluctor ring style). Just need
to find a machine shop that does not have a 30 day backlog.

Also, yesterday (Saturday) I moved the brake line brackets to the side
of the frame (the ones for the front wheels) to help with exhaust
clearance. I was also able to get the Chevy clutch master cylinder
installed. It ended up being fairly easy.
only had to modify the hole thru the firewall (needed to be square, and
at a certain angle) and the rod from the pedal was cut down and added
the threaded portion of a bolt to use the same pedal mounting point.
Both the Chevy and Toyota seemed to have the same stroke but the Chevy
one pushed about twice as much fluid (bigger bore). For those
interested these are the master cylinders for the 1996 and newer
internal slave cylinders (inside the bellhousing).

Hopefully I will be driving it to Moab for Easter, if not it should be
done for the Cruise Moab event two weeks later.

Hope to see some down in Moab over Easter (will be there with or without
truck) and Cruise.
