If I read Luke right, he means the little itty bitty splines on the CV flange
studs (bolts). By grinding the splines down, you can just unbolt the CV
studs/bolts and the diff will be MUCH easier to get on and off the next time.
I didn't do this when my front gears/locker was installed a couple weeks ago
and I really wish I had. Trust me, I'll do it next time!
