Thanks Dave, too bad it crapped out on me the next day!!  :-b

Around 11am when it started getting hot out, all of a sudden it ceased
to work.... it would basically restart itself every few seconds,
rendering it useless.

On the way home it hit me that it would be a temp issue.  I held it in
front of the AC for 5 minutes, powered it up, and it worked again (and
my speedo is only off 2mph at 70 mph, woo hoo!)

Yesterday I went to a local shop and managed to convince them to take
the factory defect Magellan GPS 300 unit in trade (+cash) for a much
nicer Garmin unit.  Its only been on the market a few months, and is
exactly wanted.  oh... its the Garmin emap.
