Can you post to the XJ list(s) (and more) this quick run-down? I still can't
post to the list. I don't need to sell everything off the truck at once, but I
need to get a commitment for a fair bit of it to justify doing this. If you
think this is a just plan stupid, then don't post this and tell me so. :-) To
me, parts of interest on the truck are:
- front D44 w/ Detroit, 4.09 gears, set up for coils for an XJ, TJ, MJ, or ZJ,
- new tie rod ends, fresh ball joints, etc.
- rear D44 w/ Lockright, new 4.09 gears, disc brakes
- spare axle shafts for both axles
- spare spindles, hub, rotor assembles for the front diff
- front RE 4.5" lift ZJ coils
- rear custom 4" lift MJ coils, bit-softer-than-stock spring rate, 5-leaf
- custom (strong) control arms using stock rubber bushings (bushings should be
replaced)
- Black Diamond XJ shocks, fronts are 12.25" travel, rear are 13.5"
- 4.5L I-6 stroker w/ ~20k miles on it, going strong
- AX-15 transmissions (2, one is a spare)
- dual T-case based on NP231/NP241 parts
- more spare T-case parts (NP231, NP242)
- stock (unmodified) front XJ driveshaft (unmodified, spare)
- lengthened front shaft (CV) to work with the dual T-case
- new MJ gas tank (90litre)
- custom front bumper
- HD Modine 2-core radiator for the closed-loop ('89) cooling system
- air compressor and assorted goodies for on-board air
- 2 Walmart batteries that are less than a year old (big enough for this
truck, but not for the big block going into the Blazer)
- EFI parts
- 15x8" rims, 5 on 5.5" pattern, steel, with raised bead surfaces
- tons 'a other parts like steering box, skid plates, etc.
- tons 'a body parts, interior and exterior, etc. - far too numerous to
mention - I'm using the truck right now so it's complete.
The bulk of the "interesting" stuff is well documented via
http://www.bc4x4.com/ryeguy
This is the big stuff. Notice no prices on anything. I'm not concerned about
prices on individual items so long as I can out of the parts, what I wanted for
the truck complete one way or another. If I don't think I can get this out of
parting out the truck, then I'll simply keep and and continue driving it or
advertise it locally to sell it complete. I'm expecting/asking people on the
list to say "this part is worth $ to me, expect me to buy it if you part it
out". I will compile a list and email it back to people if/as this proceeds.
Some of the stuff - eg. the on-board air stuff, alarm, etc. I can use on the
Blazer, too.
Interesed parties get in touch with me - at ryeguy@bc4x4.com.
Thanks,
