  My '65 had the swaged lug studs. I had the 10" drums, the 9" may be 
different. The way that worked for me (after ruining one drum) was to drive 
the studs out. You should be able to get new studs without the swage area, or 
better yet covert to 11" brakes or disc. Can be pricey though.
