RE: JPOR: removing swaged on brake drums
Can't get the drum/Hub off the axle? There is a big puller that JCW sells
for removing the drum/hub from the rear axleshafts. Once you've got the
drum/Hub off you can press the studs out. However, a 68 shouldn't have
swedged lugs, there should be 2 phillips screws holding the drum to the hub.
Good luck.

I have a 68 CJ6 with the original brake drums/cylinder. The
drums are swaged on with the lug bolts. Any know an easy way to
get them off? The only way I can think of is grind the heads off
of the backing plate bolts and pulling the whole axle shaft/brakes
out and then pressing the lug bolts out.
TIA
