JPOR: snap rings to replace c-clips on u-joints?

Hello all, I am trying to come up with a set of snap rings to use in
place of the c-clips on my new front end.  I will modify the yokes with
a band saw the tiny bit needed to provide room for the snap rings. 
However, I cannot come up with either of the two manufacturers shown
below locally.

Warn reccommends Truarc #5100118 and a friend said he used Lawson #97338
1 3/16" units.  I have local access to KD Tools snap rings at NAPA.  I
find one that seems like it would work, but it is a hare thinner than
the snap ring included with the u-joints.  Thanks for any
reccomendations.  Jeff
