I've parted out at least a half a dozen and eyeballed a couple dozen
more and I've yet to see one from '74-'79 with a centered rear diff.
There couldn't have been many that were centered or I would have found
one by now.

That goes along with what I've seen. Seems like Cherokee or J-truck is
the place to look for a T-18/Dana20 setup. Watch out though, there's a
lot more 3 speeds than T-18s.

Cool! I'll have to start looking for the '70-'73 rears. They must be
about the same as a Scout II rear for width. I wonder if that's what
those mysterious shafts I have are from? They are about 3/4" shorter
than Scout II shafts.
