The D44 is a '75 model that came from a Ford F150 with drum brakes.  It
had standard lockout hubs.  The other axle is from a '89 Grand
Wagoneer.   It came with solid drive gears instead of lockout hubs and a
np229 transfer case.  The drive gears can be replaced with lockouts as I
am planning to do.  Jeff
