RE: JPOR: Spring over steering

I looked into this over the summer, and wasn't able to
find anyone locally who could make them. The problem
is the tapered holes. Both are automotive tapers, and
it proved very hard/expensive to find the right reamers
off the shelf.
In the end, I went with a fellow named Bob Rogey (BR
Fabworks) in CA. He turned out a pair for me in about
a week, and I was reasonably impressed with the workmanship.
The holes were in the right places, and the tapers were
well formed as well. I had mine set up for a YJ
draglink, 'cuz Wag parts are hard to find used, and
expensive to replace new. Besides, in its new location,
it'll be pretty hard to smack the tie rod into anything,
so strength is less of an issue.
Bob charges $85-$95US apiece for his arms. 530-626-9451.
