JPOR: Toyota Land Cruiser Problem
I know, I know, some of these lists are mostly Jeeps, but I have a
friend that has an unusual problem with his toad and there just might be
a bit of help here.
The front end tires are towed out. Yes, a lot. When we came off the
Rubi a few weeks ago, he complained the he was having trouble driving
the rig and turning. We took a look at it and the tires were towed out
3". Yes, 3". I was able to get them almost to 0, like maybe 1/2" towed
out, but there is no more adjustment. There is no bend in axle housing
that we can see, if you bent the tie rod, it would tow in, a spindle
might be the problem, but on second thought it would allow the
tire/wheel to wobble. Any ideas? I am not familiar with the year of
the front end, but I know that he changed it for a Disk brakes year.
And, we are sure it was not like this before the trip. He drove it a
long ways.
Thanks
