I guess it would be too much of an assumption to assume that the rear disc
brake set up from an isuzu D44 would bolt right onto a D44 from a '73 CJ?
It seems like it would be too easy. The right side of my brain is in
overdrive.

There was an article earlier this year in one of the rags on swapping an
Isuzu
D44 into a Toy P/U... (same wheel pattern, nearly same width and you get
disc
brakes - they paid ~$300 for one in a SoCal junkyard) - and if I remember
right
from the article (and I still have it around here somewhere) it has
mini-drums
like the ZJ/WJ D35/44 and Exploder 8.8.
