Keep in mind that unless you run dually-style wheels, even though the
flange-to-flange distance is the same, the wheels you have to use with an 8-lug
axle will make your track width a lot wider... consider the stock YJ rim has
~5.25" backspacing (OEM 7" rim) and an average 8-lug rim is ~3" - so track
width just increased 4.5"!  OTOH, if you ran dually wheels as a single, front
style the track width would be less than stock.  (not sure what the backspacing
is on a dually rim, but it is as much as the width - maybe more)
