Intriguing.  Was it only '77 F350 duallies that would have a rear the same
width as a YJ?  Too bad it is wider than a CJ.

Here's another potential project to think about. I have a rear Dana 60
dually from a '77 F350 2wd.  The frame rails on the '77 are narrower than on
a non-dually vintage pickup.  The spring pads are 40-41" apart if I remember
correctly.  The brake backing plates are about the same distance apart as on
a YJ rear axle.   So the axle housing length, flange to flange, is almost a
stock replacement for a YJ.  Custom axle shafts, coupled with disc brakes or
non-dually drum brakes, and..... a low pinion D60 with 4.10 gears.  Not that
I need one of these, but is it worth converting one of these?
