Petersen's is especially bad for that kind of thing.
Their opinions are probably heavily influenced by their
advertising contracts.  No surprise there, but it's
a good idea to seek a second opinion on any suggestion
you read in any of the rags.

One particularly bad case was their SOA vs SUA article.
Rememer that one?  The SOA CJ they used for the comparison
wasn't very well setup (no anti-wrap bar, etc).  I could
see the "SOA isn't all it's cracked up to be" conclusions
from a mile away.  Why?  An SOA requires actual intelligent
thought on the owner's part, instead of shelling out big
bucks for a bolt-on kit from one of their advertisers.

Later in the same issue, they gushed over the performance
of an SOA SWB Jeep in one of their vehicle writeups.
I wouldn't be surprised if most the author's and editor's
Jeeps are SOA, too...
