Yes they do but as ring gear diameters increase ground clearance under
the pumpkin decreases. A dana 70 pumpkin is huge and the increase in
strength over the 60 ring gear just isn't worth that loss (in my opinion
of course), especially if you're only running a 35" or 36" tire. The 35
spline 60 runs the same axle shaft that the 70 does (1.5" 35 spline),
given that why go 70? Now top loader rockwell 5-tons, that's another
story ;-)
