They should work. I think some XJers are running YJ cables because they
are longer than XJ cables.
Also, if you need longer due to your lift, you might want to try a cable
for a longbed MJ. I think they usually have a pedal like the YJ, but the
wheelbase is much longer.
I am running some type of driver's side MJ cables on both sides of my XJs
because they were about a foot longer than stock XJ cables that connect to
the center console lever. Of course the particular ones that I have would
not be a foot longer for you since you'd have the pedal and not the
lever....
