I've got the big craftsman stand-up 5.5hp one on wheels.
don't buy it and I'll tell you why.
I was working under my jeep and I gave a *very*-little tug on the
airline
and the friggn thing tipped over.
It broke the regulator, cracked the nipple into the tank, broke the
pressure
gauge, mushed the pop-up valve, and the motor and compressor broke
loose of
the mount of the tank. cost me $150 in parts to get it fixed and I still
don't think it works right. In short, get the horizontal compressor.

I'll toss my vote for Craftsman in as well. I've had a 4.5 HP, 25
gallon
horizontal wheeled oil-less unit for about 5 years now. It's noisy as
all
hell, but I've built a little sound cabinet around it with some siding
insulation and that cuts back on a lot of the noise. I only wish I had
gotten the 60 gallon upright model. It can't keep up with the cutoff
wheel
or the air chisel with only the 25 gallon tank.
Incidentally, can anyone recommend a _good_ die grinder <for under
$100>?
Later,
Ed T.
