I'd advise against that for ONE reason only. Safety.
We all agree that if the rear blows out.....it's not as
critical, since the front does the majority of the stopping
in most situations. However, if we blow the single front
line, we lose BOTH front brakes. And are left with (most
likely) those dinky rear cylinders to stop the truck. Granted
blowing a one of two front lines isn't great or safe, but at
least you have a half a shot in getting some pressure to the
other caliper. And where it splits in the engine bay is less
likely to get damaged.
