I think it's a great idea. My only concern was the disc brake's need for
volume of fluid. If a suitably sized (i.d.) line could be used from either
the proportioning valve or a 't', then I don't see why it wouldn't work. I
haven't seen this setup on any other trucks except for my Broncos and as I
said, they were both drums. I'd be interested in seeing if the size of
tubing they used on the disc brake equipped Broncos was the same as for the
drum equipped ones. Perhaps it's a non-issue.
I wonder why this isn't more common? Could it be that the manufacturers are
trying to cut down on the amount of 'soft' lines they have in the system
since they promote 'mushiness' <tech term>?
