Yes, you are mistaken.  ;)

The Chevy/GMC & SJ are the same.  AFAIK, GM has been using the internal hubs
since at least 1969 (before the SJ, I might add).  '69-'70 GM's would be drum
braked though. The last couple or three years of IH p/u's (not Scouts though)
used internal hubs as well.  As far as the locking hub itself, the 1/2T GM,
Ford, Jeep & IH ones are the same p/n.
