Re: JPOR: Brake lines

Acording to the parts book at the Carquest Store, the stock length
of a chevy truck 4x4 front brake line is 20". That is what mine are now. I
will check to see if I can move the braket down to get more flex.
One more thing to get in the way is that I have my shocks mounted on
the front of my axles. I switched the upper shock towers side to side. The
reason I did this is because the brake caliper has been beating the crap out
of the shocks. I know that when people run dual shocks on the front they
add them onto the front of the axle so I dont't see this as a problem. The
brake line have to run around the shock when I do it this way.

Anyone with a rear locker have any experience driving on a gravel road
with the locker? Before I installed mine I could drive the gravel at 60 mph
with out a problem. I am not sure if it is the locker or my new front setup
that is causing the squirrly steering I am now having.
