The lines on my 1/2 ton Blazer are a lot longer than the Wagoneer lines
I'm using on my Jeep. I'll use a set of those if I ever have to replace
mine.
Try re-locating your lines. Mine locate off the lower bolt on my shock
towers, on a bracket that puts them about 2.5" out from the frame. The
rubber part of the hose points straight down out of the bracket. If I
remember right, the brackets (which are just some sheetmetal with the
right sized hole in the end) came from a Wagoneer and had a 90 deg bend
added at the frame end.
