You are right, Paul. Another advantage is that the Belgian guy in
California ships everything in containers. This way, we can load the cars with
parts. When you ship cars RORO, you are not allowed to put parts in the cars. My
Belgian friend actually owns these containers, so we can load them with
whatever we want. This way, taxes and duties are also less (the parts belong to
the cars). Ever seen 35" Boggers and Dana 44's under a Jaguar??
I don't expect that we have to pay more than US$50 for shipping both
axles, including taxes and duties. A few weeks ago, I paid him US$35 for five new
36" Swampers from Los Angeles to the Netherlands.
Gilbert Verkuijlen (has more Belgian friends).
