RE: JPOR: Engine trouble

Chris,

I'd check the ECM. Or the ballast resistor.

Got a problem that's come up recently with the 5.0L (EFI) in
my YJ. Sometimes, when I start the engine after it's been off
for a little while (still warm), the truck will be almost
paralyzed. Idles fine, but give it any gas and the engine bogs
down almost right away. No power at all... VERY annoying.

When it's cold, the Jeep runs fine. A bit less power than I'm
used to, but no bogging. It continues to run fine until I shut
it down. This problem has only recently cropped up, so I don't
really know the symptoms too well yet.

My first thought when the bogging began was the fuel pump.
Replaced the pump (and pressure regulator) but no dice.

Anyone??? Does this sound like vapour lock at all? My exhaust
and fuel lines are nowhere near each-other, but I'm running out
of ideas!

TIA,
Chris (It's an injected 5.0L, BTW)
