I run 35-14.50 Boggers and love them.  My truck has just become my daily
driver again and you have to get used to the flat spots and not being able
to balance them.  I love em anyway though.  Wouldn't trade them for
anything.  I would have to agree they are heavy.
As for your Jeep.  We have alot of guys running 33-12.50 Supper Swamper
Radials with pretty much stock drivetrain and it holds up.  Of course, if
you are heavy on the gas you are going to have more problems.  It's all
relative.
