Re: JPOR: Tires, again....

I wouldn't fear 33x12.50 Swampers contributing to breakage on your set up... I
have run the 33x12.50 TSL bias plies on my 71 CJ-5 even back when it was
running the stock D27/D44 setup with a stock 225 V6 & T-14 3-speed (only mod
was a 4" lift). I also run them on my 86 XJ both when it it had stock Dana
30RC & clipless 35 w/4.10's and now that it has modified axles (floater
converted 30RC & D44 w/4.56's). I can quite honestly say that I have never
suffered any breakage that I could blame on tire choice... in fact, (knock on
wood!) I have never broken a front axle U-joint - not even in the D27

If you have tires for street use, why settle for anything less? For me the
only choice is which model of Interco tire to buy next. While the new Baja
Claw is a nice looking tire, talking to a couple of people who run them, I
still don't think they can top the performance of a TSL, TSL-SX, SSR or Bogger.
