Just did this yesterday, compress the springs and remove them through
the little slots on the sides then push the pins into the sides that the
springs were in (use little pieces of cardboard to hold them there once
you push them across).  Make sure the spacer blocks are lined up on the
inside and pull one half of the inner piece out (there are flat spots to
match up with the case opening as you do this), DON'T LOSE THE PINS! 
Pop the other half out and then take out the side gear pieces and thrust
washers.  You're done!
