There is a bolt-on master cylinder upgrade for YJs; it's
the 4-wheel-disc master used in '78 Lincoln Continental and
a bunch of other late-70's Ford and Lincoln cars. The only
custom work required is to swap the two hard line fittings
that screw into it, which requires cutting and re-double-
flaring the lines.
I did this swap last fall, and noticed better pressure
proportioning front to rear and better braking overall.
A better booster would really do the trick...
There was an article on this upgrade on 4x4wire, but I can't
find it now - anyone got a link?
