JPOR: D44 Front Options

I got my hands on a Chevy Dana44 front end for really cheap.  My question is this.
If I want to run it full width, will my spring hangers need to be located out board
of the frame?  Or can I position the pumpkin in the right spot and keep the hangers
under the frame?  I'm thinking the hangers will need to go out boards.
