The steering just needs a
little bit longer of a drag link. I need the drag link longer because the
steering box is no longer centered and it turns more to the left than to the
right. Now my questions. What would be a donor vehicle I can get a longer
drag link from? It probably has to be 2" longer. Chris Waterman, What did
you do about your steering? Anyone else do this?

Michael,
How much longer do you need? I had this problem and just
loosened the 2 clamps and twisted the adjusting sleeve out about
1/2". It leaves that much more air space at the inside end of the
adjuster, which makes it weaker, but that why it's there.
Adjust with the wheels straight ahead and have someone watch the
steering wheel (unlocked) and adjust until the pitman arm is facing
straight to the rear and the steering wheel centered. If you need
more than about an inch, I'd get a longer drag link.
regards, as always, jefe
