I just had mine apart installing the Teralow 4 to 1 in it. Now I'm new to
this, but I think your talking about the large ring into which the mode fork
slips -- into a channel. If so, then I can tell you that looking at it
from the outside (the side without the teeth), the larger band is on the
bottom, or on the input side of the main shaft. I did the same thing, only
I have a couple of pictures to look at. Hope this helps.
