rear disc revisited
When people add rear discs to their JEEPs, is there a reason they
put the caliper braket on the back side of the mounting flange. Is there a
reason they put the rotor on the back side of the axle flange? With the
floating design of the disc brake setup does it really matter.
I want to put a chevy brake caliper on a scout rear axle. The bearing
bulge requires me to machine the inner hole of the caliper bracket bigger to
fit up next to the mounting flange. I am concerned that this will not leave
me with enough metal to bolt it to the flange.
