Advance Adapter and Novak transfer case adapters for Jeep CJ-s to T18 are
based on the 2WD T-18 tranny. There are alot of them out there. Late 60's to
late 80's ford 2wd pickups with 4-speeds with granny low were mostly T-18's.
These trannys have an input shaft that will work with a 70's t0 80's Jeep CJ
258 engine. The Jeep bellhousings can also be used with the 2WD T-18
trannys. Both Novak & AA have good cats with detailed info on these trannys
& how to adapt them.

The Novak T-18 with adapter replaces the Jeep CJ-7 T-5 tranny & adapter in
an '82 CJ-7, being exactly the same length (no change in drivelines
required, that's my setup). I'm not sure which tranny you have, but a call
to Novak or a visit to their web sight might answer alota questions.

Here's some info from their web site:
T18 Compound-Low Ford Truck 4-speed to the Jeep Spicer 300 Transfer Case

Adapts the Borg-Warner T18 from Ford F100 - F350 trucks to the 1980 to 1986
CJ Spicer 300 transfer case.
The T18 transmission has a case length of 11.87 inches. Our adapter is 3.2
inches for a combined length of 15.07. This installed length is the same as
the stock Jeep SR4, T4 and T5 transmissions. No change in driveshaft length
is required with this kit.
Gear ratios for the Ford T18 are: 6.32:1, 3.09:1, 1.69:1 and 1:1 in first
through fourth gears, respectively. This transmission can be used with AMC
and GM engines. Refer to this procedure.
Transmission disassembly is required to install the new mainshaft that comes
with kit.
Note: There are many different models of the T18, including Jeep T18's and
Scout T18's. This kit is designed only for the Ford T18, found in 1966 to
1989 trucks. This T18 may be either from a 2WD or 4WD.
