I just hate it when all that stuff falls out on my lap so I took some
burgundy imitation leather fabric and made a cover just a bit bigger than
the slot, put Velcro around it and the slot, sewn on the patch and stuck on
the dash. It makes a perfect cover, it keeps the things from falling in my
lap at odd angles and easy to access if needed. I sewed a Jeep patch on mine
just cause I thought it would look cool. I should have sewn a little pouch
on the inside of the patch to hold our insurance card but it was an
afterthought.
