The Brown & Sharpe seem to be the closest, but as you say, not quite
right. The other problem with these is they all have a shank diamter
of 5/8" or more in the range I need and I only have a 1/2" chuck on my
drill press. That grinding down the drill bit actually sounds
reasonable
to me and cheaper than a $70 reamer. With the taper, i don't think it
has to be exact.
