I have been in contact with Chris about his setup. Like I said, it is beyond
my means, but VERY interesting. I don't think it is too long for the
straight 6 (which is what I have) because he estimates it as 1 -2 inches
longer than the stock AX15/NP231 (I'm assuming with SYE), and I think the
(presumably) shorter bell housing you'd use with the NP435 would make up
some of that...... but what do I know? basically I know nothing, so I'm
making a lot of presumptions when I try to figure this stuff out, like the
Np435 input shaft is 1.5 inches shorter than the ax15 so the bell housing
must be 1.5 inches shorter, right? Who knows?

It's a very interesting setup, though. I sure wish there was an easier way,
which there is - just spend a few cubic yards of money and get the nv/atlas
(although that only puts me at 117:1).
