Re: JPOR: Bigger lift options.

I stand corrected. I forgot to mention the driveshaft thing.
I don't have a SYE, not installed anyway, right now I don't need it.
When I did the lift the original driveshaft was WAY short. Actually just
sitting there the driveshaft barely reached the Tcase. Since I have a
4.0L the driveshaft is short anyway so I found a shaft from a four
cylinder YJ and used that instead. Perfect length.
I do have my t-case lowered from an earlier lift and the driveshaft is
running at about 20 degrees but I have zero vibrations. I will do the
SYE thing eventually just so I can raise the skid plate but for right
now who cares!
Brake lines were another thing. I had longer brakelines from my earlier
lift but when the new SOA flexed they were super short. I went to a
local hydraulic shop and had new flex lines made for about 30 bucks. The
rear is just an off the shelf 6 inch steel line that I used a union on
to extend the line off the frame. Another 3 bucks.
Shocks? Already had them.
Iguess it would cost alot if you can't do the welding and fitting
yourself! If you can just make the new perches out of square tubing 1/4
inch wall stuff, and do all the prep work and set up yourself and then
have someone else do the final welding. Saves cash!

to the rear flex line. Another 3 bucks.
