NP231 Transfer Case Upgrade to NP231HD w/JB SYE
My new NP231HD/DHD is a zero-mile unit manufactured for Dodge trucks. It came from New Venture Gear through JB Conversions who added their short shaft kit (SYE) and converted the shift sector from Dodge to Jeep. The Heavy Duty designation is because of the large syncro hub and wider chain. In addition, JB Conversions replaced the stock 3-gear input pinion to the stronger 6-gear pinion. This new NP231 transfer case is the strongest it will ever be, and makes an easy upgrade for many Jeeps. |

TeraFlex T-Locker Locking Differential The T-Locker utilizes an industrial pneumatic switch, designed for thousands of cycles per day, to eliminate an additional electric system to activate the locker. The locker further utilizes external pneumatics for engagement; making leaky rotating seal surfaces a thing of the past. Built from GGG-50, the T-Locker is engaged via SAE8620 forged and hardened pins on a shift collar. This is positioned by a shift fork located on the differential cover. The T-Locker is available now for the Dana 35, Dana 30, Dana 44 and Dana 60 axles. |

Winter Fun Festival 2004 January is not often considered a peaking four wheeling month, but you could hardly tell from the turnout for the 22nd annual Cal4Wheel Winter Fun Festival. Over 700 people showed up for the event, with nearly all of the 13 scheduled runs selling out well in advance. One of the reasons for Winter Fun's popularity is the diversity of the event. There are trails ranging from dirt roads with a light dusting of snow to passes where the drifts are several feet deep. |

Summer Upgrades with Chef Mark
There comes a time in one’s life that doing Jeep work yourself is the ONLY way to go! As the summer faded to just a memory, my school year as a Culinary Educator was about to begin, and what better way to start than with a "What I did over my summer vacation!" article! Although some work was farmed out to support local Jeep mechanics, I did most of the work myself. I will say my Jeep project portfolio has grown considerably! |

QuickLever Mirror Release Adjusting the mirrors on your Jeep and moving them out of the way is always been a compromise. If you leave your mirrors loose enough to move them out of the way, they get bumped out of adjustment all the time. If you tighten them up so they don't get bumped, you cannot move them out of the way. The QuickLever mirror release allows you to keep the mirrors tight and still move them out of the way with no tools. |
