Avalanche Rocker Knockers
After a few close calls with the local rocks and stumps, I did some research in to the subject of rocker panel protection. After talking to some manufacturers local and elsewhere, I realized that most rocker panel protection meant either hacking my flares, or installing TJ flares. I decided that I was not quite ready to attack my flares with a saw, or swap my Xenon flares for a set of TJ flares. Avalanche Engineering has solved this problem with there Rocker Knocker Guards. |

XJ Cherokee Rear Brake Hose and E-brake Cable Extension
The taller lift was literally stretching the limits of my XJ's rear brake hose and e-brake cables. Not good! Replacing the Cherokee's cables and hose is a must with taller lifts. Fortunately, stock YJ Wrangler parts fit nicely and the upgrade to longer pieces was not difficult. Longer brake pieces give no-break peace. |

Fixing the weak link in the Ford 8.8 rear axle
Ford 8.8" rear axle swaps are becoming more popular for the Jeep XJ, YJ, and TJ. Swappers are aware of the strong 31-spline shafts and 8.8" ring gear in a package that fits the Cherokee and Wranglers well. The 8.8's C-clips, however, aren't the only potential weak point. As Mark Svare found out when he spun the center casting, the connection between it and the axle tubes could be questionable as well. |

Project Friend
Does Steve Friend have the only Jeep in the world that is "done"? You be the judge, but this CJ-7 is a low crawling, big tire, rock conquering Jeep. Some 38.5" tires, Alcan springs, and Klune V allow this rig to be driven to the trail and still hit the hard stuff. |

Build a Flatbed for Your Truck
Nothing looks cooler or more rugged than a pickup with a flat bed. Building a flatbed ia a fairly simple metal working project and it is a great way to replace a rusted out pickup bed. |
